The latest release for .NET is SaxonCS 13.0, released on 29 May 2026. For more information see Latest releases. From SaxonCS 13.0, the Home Edition is now available as well as the Enterprise Edition.
The latest maintenance release of 12 is SaxonCS 12.9, released on 12 September 2025. Saxon 12 is currently considered the most stable and reliable release. SaxonCS 12 is available only in the Enterprise Edition.
To use SaxonCS-EE 13 or SaxonCS 12, you need a license key. If you don't have a current license you can request a 30-day evaluation license.
SaxonCS 13 is available to download as an executable, and as a NuGet package. SaxonCS 13.0 is targeted at .NET 8.
SaxonCS 12 is available to download as an executable, and as a NuGet package. Note that SaxonCS 12.6 and later are built with .NET 8, whereas SaxonCS 12.5 and earlier were built with .NET 6.
