Built-in extensions

Nearly all the extension functions provided in the Java product in the saxon namespace are available. The exceptions are:

  • saxon:key-map
  • saxon:last-modified
  • saxon:parse-dateTime
  • saxon:send-mail
  • saxon:object-map
  • saxon:unparsed-entities

It is possible to wrap an external C# object in an XdmExternalObject. However, the external object lookup expression (a Saxon extension) is not available.

Status for extension functions in other namespaces:

  • The EXPath File and Binary modules ARE available.
  • The EXPath Archive module is NOT available.
  • The EXSLT modules Sets, Math, Date, and Random are NOT available.
  • The EXSLT module Common IS available.
  • The SQL extension is NOT available.
