public class SaxonDo
extends ExtensionInstruction

Handler for saxon:do elements in stylesheet. The saxon:do element has a mandatory attribute action, an expression typically with side-effects. The effect of the instruction is to evaluate the action expression and discard the result. It is also designed to resist attempts at aggressive optimization, e.g loop-lifting

exec - the compilation episode

decl - the containing top-level declaration, for example xsl:function or xsl:template

either a ComputedExpression, or null. The value null is returned when compiling an instruction that returns a no-op, or when compiling a top-level object such as an xsl:template that compiles into something other than an instruction.

XPathException - if validation fails
