Licenses for the Enterprise Edition (Saxon-EE) and Professional Edition (Saxon-PE) can be purchased by credit card from our secure online store.
These licenses are cross-platform: the same license will work with SaxonJ, SaxonCS, or SaxonC.

Until Saxon 10, licenses were perpetual (they did not expire). These licenses typically allow access to support for one year from the purchase date, and allow access to upgrades published within one year of the purchase date.
For Saxon 11 and beyond, only annual term and subscription licenses are available. You can make a one-time purchase of a license that expires after a year (a "term" license), or you can purchase a subscription where you make an annual payment, with a new license key delivered automatically once a year.
Subscription licenses are only available for online purchase with a credit card. If you want to buy using a corporate purchase order, ask us about buying a license for an extended term, say three or five years.

The tax rules from 1 January 2021, following the UK departure from the EU, are as follows:
Value Added Tax will be added to your order if you are in the UK, or if you are a consumer (i.e. not VAT-registered) in the European Union.

We apply the same rules whether you purchase online, or via a purchase order.
This system relies on information about your location. In the case of online orders, this information comes from your IP address and your billing address. If these do not agree, we may be obliged to make further enquiries. This is true whether or not you are in the European Union, since non-EU customers must be identified as such.
EU customers who are registered for VAT should enter the VAT number when ordering.

We can provide a quotation in US Dollars or Euros as well as UK sterling, and for clients in good standing we will invoice on 30-day payment terms. We do however impose an administrative charge for orders under £500 made through this route.
