C/C++, PHP and Python downloads

The latest release for the C/C++, PHP and Python programming languages is SaxonC (built from SaxonJ ), released on . For more information see Latest releases.

The latest maintenance release of is SaxonC (built from SaxonJ ), released on . Saxon 12 is currently considered the most stable and reliable release.

To use SaxonC-PE or SaxonC-EE you need a license key. If you don't have a current license you can request a 30-day evaluation license.

All downloads are available from the Saxonica downloads repository. Use the buttons below to directly download the latest SaxonC installers built for different operating systems.

The Python extension for SaxonC 12 and 13 is available as a wheel package on PyPI. This means that it can be installed with pip (e.g. pip install saxoncee for SaxonC-EE), and users no longer need to manually build and install the extension library. SaxonC wheels are available in the three Saxon editions EE, PE, and HE; for Python 3.9 - 3.14t; and for Linux, Mac OS, and Windows. See the Saxonica SaxonC PyPI project.
